This is still a problem with XP 64 and it has been out for over 2 years. Roll back to XP and keep checking the ASUS site to see if they have new drivers. If it is just the Network card that doesn't have drivers you can try installing a network card that is supported by Vista into a PCI slot and you should be back in business.
